Spring has arrived and with it an exciting bouquet of independent film festivals across Oklahoma. The Tonkawa Film Festival in Tonkawa and the Red Dirt Film Festival in Stillwater kick things of this weekend. The Oklahoma City University Film Department jumps in next weekend with the Wide Open Experimental Film Festival at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. And, the Bare Bones Film and Music Festival wraps things up in Muskogee at the end of the month. The Tonkawa Film Festival is one of Oklahoma's newest and most popular festivals.
