STILLWATER, Okla. — After a long, anticipated wait, the Big 12 Conference finally announced its football schedule for the upcoming 2023 season on Tuesday afternoon. The league will expand from 10 to 14 teams for the first time with BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF joining the already existing members. Oklahoma State will open the 2023 season with a three-game non-conference slate before starting Big 12 play on the road at Iowa State, which will mark its earliest trip to Ames since the 1997 season opener.
