In 1986, President Ronald Reagan gave an exceedingly quotable soundbite during one of his news conferences. 'The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I'm from the government, and I'm here to help.'' Reagan was referring to how government, in general, often tends to be inefficient, to such a degree that instead of helping, it frequently causes harm instead. 'ESG' is an acronym for 'environmental, social and governance' and covers a wide variety of issues.
